...proud of the Peppermint Mocha cake I made for Jamie and his coworkers the other day. It was scrumptious!
...marveling over Gisèle's fashion sense. Today she chose a pink camo school t-shirt, khaki shorts, a multi-colored striped belt, argyle knee socks, and tennis shoes. Wish a brightly-patterned bow in her hair. She's an original, and I wouldn't trade her for anything.
...appreciating Miles's sweetness. I love the way he cuddles into my lap when we're reading a story at night or saying goodbye in the morning. He's a big, grown-up boy of four now, but he'll always be my baby.
...feeling overwhelmed by all that being a homeowner entails. The foundation repairs begin in about two weeks, and I have a feeling our lives will be even more disrupted than we can imagine at this point. We still have to get financing in place and deal with moving the furniture, and that's as far as I can go before I start to get panicky.
...looking forward to the weekend. We're going to the Fall Festival at Gisèle's school tomorrow morning and then I have a baby shower for a friend tomorrow evening. We'll go to church Sunday morning, and then the pumpkin patch Sunday afternoon. I'm also planning on making pumpkin bread and maybe some other fall goodies.
...loving my husband and all he does to keep me sane. He encourages me even when he doesn't realize he's doing it, and I so blessed to have him.
...wishing I had more time to blog. I still have pictures from our trip in June to put up!
