Stitch Fix #4

Stitch Fix #4 came today and for the first time, I was disappointed.  Not disappointed enough to cancel - they'll get another shot - but it was not a great box.

(The pictures are once again courtesy of Jamie, using my phone.  Thanks, babe!)

The first thing I tried on was... another pair of stinkin' skinny jeans.  Seriously.  I've told them for the last 2 boxes that I do not like skinny jeans.  Granted, these were called "boyfriend" jeans, but these things were skintight from hips to ankles.  And not at all flattering.  One of the least-flattering pairs of jeans I've ever put on.  And I'm still going to show them to you.  Behold, the "Riley Distressed Boyfriend Jean" from Just Black ($68):

Yep.  These are going straight back.  Seriously bad.

Next up, one I had high hopes for, Pixley's "Edmond" Chevron Print Henley Shirt ($54):
I actually liked this one for the most part.  The print and colors were great, and the top half and sleeves were really flattering.  It was also really soft.  The problem was the the bottom section - front and back, in the middle - was loose and, in Jamie's words, "apron-like."  It hung awkwardly and seemed like it was just going to stretch itself into a more shapeless... shape as time went on.  (sigh)  Reluctantly sending this one back, too.

Next up, Market and Spruce's "Roma" Cowl Neck Jersey Knit Top ($28):
This one had a great color and good sleeve length, but the material was so thin and clingy that I felt really uncomfortable in it.  It showed every bump and lump.  Not keeping.

The last item of clothing was a jacket, though I had specifically asked for things for warmer weather.  This is the "Silas" Knit Asymetrical Zip Jacket by Skies are Blue ($78):
It was interesting, but not my style.  It was a very chunky knit and too bulky to be comfortable.  Especially in Houston's 92 degree mid-September weather.  Nope.

The last item was a cute little necklace, but honestly seemed like something that had been thrown in because they ran out of time styling or just didn't know what else to include.  I had asked for tops in my last styling note, and said that I didn't really need jewelry.  This is the "Rena" Pave Clover Pendant Necklace by Marlyn Schiff ($32):
Thanks, but no thanks.  It's fine, but not worth that much to me - especially when I don't need jewelry right now.

All in all, I'm disappointed in this box.  I'm still giving them another chance, because I'm hoping that it was just that this stylist was not the greatest.  My other boxes were a lot more on-point!

If you're interested in trying Stitch Fix yourself, I'd encourage you to check out my other reviews to see some better examples of boxes!  My referral link is here if you'd like to try it out!

Today is Mom & Dad's anniversary, but I can't remember how many years it's been.  23?  24?  I get to talk to Jamie tomorrow!  He's probably on his way back from Norman right now... that horrible alarm clock is really getting on my nerves!  I have to set it for Mondays (teaching) and I hate it.  I don't know what I'm going to do tomorrow... I'll think about it on the train.  Sarah and I made chicken fajitas tonight and Steph came.  I miss her!  She brought me a tiny little sugar creature... it's cute.  We're going to go shopping together soon.  I really need to get to bed.  I have to be up in three hours!  I love you, sweetie!
