Week Off!
Our offices are closed for the week between Christmas and New Year's, which means I'm in the middle of a week entirely to myself! I've had a wonderful time organizing and baking - today was Pumpkin Spice Biscuits and Lemon Poppy Seed Biscuits, both of which are in the freezer, ready to bake whenever we want them. I've also had a chance to cook some yummy meals without feeling rushed! Last night was Apple Horseradish-Glazed Salmon with Herbed Couscous and Roasted Broccoli. Tonight, we're about to have homemade Rosemary Focaccia with an Heirloom Tomato-Mozzarella-Basil Salad and Roasted Pork Tenderloin. I LOVE cooking!

Scissors
We bought Gisèle a pair of scissors (pink, of course) so that she could use them on her home work and craft projects. It took her a couple of minutes to get the hang of them, and then she didn't want to stop cutting the paper. She was so proud!

Painting
My mom is amazing. I showed her a picture of one of my favorite Van Gogh's, and she painted it for me! It took her no time at all, and it is gorgeous. This picture doesn't do it justice, but it'll give you an idea of how beautiful it looks over our fireplace!
Mom, I am in awe of your talent!

Banana Hair Gel
(This is pre-haircut.) Miles likes to rub his leftover food in his hair when he's done eating, and this is right after Jamie tried to wipe him up.

Miles Walking
This was taken a week ago, and he's gained in confidence and speed since! (Sorry it's sideways - taken with my phone.)

Church Picnic
We had a church picnic (and concert) a while back to raise money to send our worship team on a mission trip to Cuba. The weather was gorgeous, and we had a great time!

Halloween
Gisèle was Cinderella, and Miles was a skeleton. They had a great time trick-or-treating! Jamie carried Miles the whole time, and Gisèle walked from house to house saying "Trick or treat!" and telling people "I'm princess Gisèle Cinderella and I can pick out my own candy, thank you!" I didn't get any good pictures, but I'll show the ones I did get!
