There is so much to do before Baby Boy makes his debut! I know I'm not even 21 weeks along right now, but it feels like time is running out. We need to:
-Finish cleaning and organizing the study (which Jamie is making HUGE progress on) so that we can move the guest bed in there, since the current guest room will be the nursery.
-Shop for new furniture for Gisèle, since all of her furniture will be moved to the nursery.
-Decide how to decorate the nursery, pick out paint (?), and see if Mom is willing to make some crib sheets & curtains for us.
-Buy a new infant seat, since I'm picky enough to not want Baby Boy to be in a pink carrier.
-Buy some boyish items, and look through Gisèle's old clothes to see what we might already have that is gender-neutral.
-CHOOSE A NAME.
-Pre-register at the hospital and take a tour (they've added on and changed the maternity ward since Gisèle was born.)
-Organize Gisèle's clothes so that the too-small items are packed away and everything else can fit in her new dresser.
-Inventory and clean up baby items we already have like the swing, exersaucer, etc.
-Buy a twin mattress for Gisèle to start using so she gets used to it before the baby has "her" bed
-Put a plan into place for someone to come watch Gisèle while I'm in the hospital.
I get overwhelmed thinking about it all. I know it will all get done, but it seems like a lot to do when we're already feeling a bit stretched. We could use prayer as we prepare for this baby!

if you're able to give me an exact time - assuming i'm still with Mission Essential Personnel, i can try to take up to a week off and take care of gisele for you!
Duh.... Of course I'll be happy to make cribsheets etc. for little Stephen... :) just kidding (about the name) XXXmom
I'm sorry it's a bit overwhelming at the moment. I know you'll get it all done, though! That's what the nesting instinct is for. :)
Oooh I'm glad you wrote it all down for me. LOL
We are going to wait a little while before buying Lily's new furniture, but we already got her big-girl mattress. I'm thinking it might be easier to transition her to the new room if there isn't too much other stuff in the room to play with at bedtime.
Basically everything else on your list is the same as mine! Well, not the infant seat, mine is neutral. But I have seen some really adorable car seat covers that fit right into your existing seat. I have a friend who is using a very girly cover for her neutral seat; might be a cheaper option for you instead of a whole new seat. Just a thought.
I'll be praying for all of us as we get ready for the new baby boys!
